In the 20-plus years that I’ve known Shanna Cox, I have always been impressed. Shanna started out as a tenants’ rights organizer and worked as a server while raising three boys. She owns her own small business and most recently served as the president of the LA Metro Chamber. In her “spare time” she chairs the Lewiston Planning Board.
This breadth of lived experience allows her to approach everything she does in a thoughtful, curious and inclusive way. Her approach to legislating will be no different.
Shanna is most interested in opinions that differ from her own and she treats disagreement as an opportunity to learn. When others run from a challenge, Shanna runs toward it. In fact, she was a key leader in our community’s response to the Oct. 25, 2023 tragedy.
